TREK 7.5 FX Disc 2012 Review

Hi there, this is my 2012 TREK 7.5 FX Disc review after about 2000 KM. I'm satisfied with the purchase I made. The bike rides well and smooth, it is comfortable on longer trips, the saddle works in your favor. It is light and you can carry it without any difficulty. The frame is solid and takes well the dumps in the road. It does not like gravel roads because the tires are quite narrow, it's more of a city bike. You can maintain an average speed of about 25 km/h with ease. The position on the bike it's also very comfortable unlike a road bike. The handle has a good position and the rubber under your palms is very pleasant on bigger distances.
The gears run smoothly and fast, the brakes are solid and you can feel them and get used to them very fast. The tires are like new and very resistant to punctures. In fact I did not have any puncture at all.
I used the bike mainly on city cruises and in the parks, mostly on flat surfaces with small and not so long hills.
The gears ratio is somewhere in the middle of a road bike and a mountain bike, because it has a bigger crank set than a mountain bike and a bigger cassette than a road bike so it's easy to run faster on flat and easier on step inclines.
The only thing I did not like about this bike were the pedals that were made from plastic which lasted me only a few hundred km. I had to replace them with a pair of aluminum pedals.
I recommend this bike if you are more of a city biker and want to run faster than on a mountain bike but you want to have a more comfortable position than on a road bike.

Thanks a lot for the time!
